What is azure VM?

Azure virtual machine is on-demanded azure service. Virtual machine like a virtually create a system to provide an azure. Simple meaning of VM is digital version of physical computer.

Azure VM is include in Infrastructure as service. We can create, manage. It provides to customize environment. In azure available two type of VM Windows Virtual machine, Linux Virtual machine. It has also CPU, memory and virtual hard disk, another thing is it also connect to the internet.

Virtual Machine Types

There are different types of virtual machines available in Azure.

1. General-Purpose

Ø  VMs that can run in various applications and balance memory and CPU resources. They are suitable for a wide range of workloads, including development and testing, small to medium-sized databases, and low to medium-traffic web servers

Ø It is including Sizes: Av2, B, Dv2, Dv3, DSv2, and Dsv3.

2. Compute Optimized

Ø  These VMs use for workloads that require high CPU performance. Use for high-performance computing (HPC), batch processing, and gaming servers

Ø It is include Sizes: F, Fs, FSv2

3. Memory Optimized

Ø These VMs use for high memory capacity and fast memory access.

Ø It is include Sizes: Ev3, ESv3, G, M, GS

4. Storage Optimized

Ø These VMs are designed for applications that store large amounts of data.

Ø It is include Sizes: Ls, Mv2.

Uses of Virtual Machines

· Build application and deployed in cloud so can be use virtual machine and test application.

· Host and maintain dynamic websites and web servers with database servers like MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.

· Store sensitive file and documentation so can use virtual machine

· Virtual machine can use to backup purpose. It can back up to existing operating system.

· One more thing it use to proper test newest application, website and operation system.
